FAQs
How are Ombre Powder Brows different from other eyebrow tattooing techniques?
Unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing, ombre powder brows use a special shading technique to achieve a soft and natural-looking result that mimics the appearance of softly filled-in eyebrows. This technique
is great for those looking for a more polished and defined brow look.
How long do Ombre Powder Brows last?
Ombre Powder Brows typically last between 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-ups are recommended every 1 to 2 years to maintain the color and shape of the brows.
How long does it take to get it done?
The Ombre Powder brow procedure usually takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete, including consultation, design, numbing, and the actual treatment process.
Are there any specific aftercare instructions for maintaining Ombre Powder brows?
Aftercare instructions typically include avoiding water, sunlight, and harsh skincare products on the treated area for a few days, as well as applying a healing ointment as directed to aid in the recovery process.
What should I consider before getting Ombre Powder brows done?
Before getting Ombre Powder brows, it’s important to research and choose a reputable and experienced permanent makeup artist, discuss your expectations and desired outcome, understand the risks and benefits of the procedure, and follow pre-care instructions provided by your artist for the best results.
Is there any downtime? Do I need to call off work?
There is no downtime associated with the procedure so clients do not have to call off work. You may experience redness and swelling which, on average, should only last a couple of hours at most.
What can’t I do after the procedure?
You must keep the treatment area dry and clean for at least 7 days. This includes no sweating, swimming, or sauna for 7 days. You should avoid excessive exposure to the sun, such as tanning or sunbathing during the healing process. Do not pick, pull, rub, or itch the area during the scabbing process or this could result in loss of color, poor retention, and possibly scarring.
What is the entire process like?
Every new set of brows requires two sessions: the initial appointment and the first touch up. The first touch up is recommended to be 6-12 weeks after the initial appointment. This is highly recommended in order to achieve the desired results (shape and color). After the first touch up, an annual touch up is also highly recommended. Annual touchups freshen up the color, define/secure the shape, and (optional) darker the brows.
